On offer: Three bedroom semi-detached house. Garden, room for 2 cars, oil fired heating, double glazing, backs onto fields. Please note, this village is very rural so own transport is needed, though there is free transport from the bottom of the road for schoolkids (primary school age upwards).

This house is 2 miles from Downham Market which has all the local amenities like Schools, Supermarkets, Train Station, College and Swimming pool etc. The house is a 3 bedroomed semi-detached with a double drive and an average sized back/side garden which overlooks farm fields. The house is on a narrow cul-de-sac, safe and friendly with just a few houses. We have oil fired central heating and a coal fire in the lounge, a kitchen/dining room and the bathroom downstairs, upstairs has a good size master bedroom with walk in wardrobe and 2 other adequate sized bedrooms.

New exterior doors have just been fitted and the new kitchen is being fitted now. Approx room sizes - lounge 13'x12', kitchen/diner 16'x10', Master bedroom 13'x11' with a 4'x3' set back walk in wardrobe, 2nd bedroom 10'x9', 3rd bedroom 8'x8'

Requirements: 3-bed house in North Essex (Colchester / Harwich / Clacton / etc) or South Suffolk (Ipswich / Felixstowe / Sudbury / etc). Must have nearby facilities like school/shop(s) and preferably good transport links due to not having own transport. Wanting to move to be closer to family.

3 way possibilities:- Anyone in or near to Thetford wanting this house (not Abbey Estate, sorry)?
Or anyone in our required areas want Great Cambourne (Cambs)
Alternatively, anyone in our required areas want South Wales?
Or any other 3-way, quite happy to get involved in multis if everyone is serious.

Thanks for reading, have had a few disappointments so far, would like some good news for a change!

Hi Mark & Liz, I'm sorry to hear you've been let down, I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

The house is in rural West Norfolk though, not Suffolk! We do actually have a swap (having had the forms in twice now for ideal houses, we''re hoping 3rd time lucky) due to happen next month. Not sure if we can stomach any more of these cruel disappointments, but if it did happen to fall through I'll get back in touch, though it would have to be for a 3-way, as Rayleigh is considerably further south than we are looking.

If not, very best of luck in your search.
